Guide to your EUR Transfers

Who can I send EUR to?
You can send EUR to recipients in any of the countries we support. If the recipient has a SEPA IBAN account in the European Union, they will receive the funds in Euros. For recipients in countries outside of the SEPA area, we will convert the EUR into the local currency of the destination country. The conversion is based on the current exchange rate at the time of the transaction.

Can I send EUR to any SEPA country?
Yes, if you transfer EUR to a SEPA IBAN account in the EU, the recipient will receive the funds in Euros in their bank account.

Can I send EUR to countries outside of the SEPA zone?
When you send money to a country we support, we’ll convert your EUR into the destination country’s currency using the current exchange rate at the time of your transaction.

What’s the fee?
There is no fee for your transactions at Pesa

What information do I need about my recipient?
The information you need to send money will vary based on the recipient’s country. Typically, you’ll need their bank account details or mobile money wallet information. However, when sending money to the US, you must also provide the recipient’s address

How long will it take for the recipient to receive the funds?
Most transactions are settled  within 5 minutes while transactions to the US  may take up to 2 business days.

Can someone  without the Pesa app send me money?
Third-party payments are permitted, but a detailed compliance review process may be done. If everything is verified and approved, the funds will be successfully deposited into your Pesa wallet.

How long will it take for the money to get to my Pesa EUR account?
Transfers from your bank account to your Pesa EUR account will be received within 2 minutes.

What documents do I need to complete my KYC?
You will need a valid document issued in the European Union that has your full name, Date of Birth and your photoWill my recipient pay any fees?
No, your recipient will not pay any fees to receive money from you.
